The newly designed Sony DSX-MS60 Marine Digital Media Receiver features a smart-looking and brilliantly designed USB 1®-wire Tune tray where you can store your iPod® behind the receivers face. The benefits; it enables you to guard, connect, charge and control your iPod while on the water. It contains a moisture-resistant coating that shields the receivers internal electronics from the harsh environment. or you can benefit of your favorite tunes by connecting a USB thumb drive loaded with MP3, WMA, or AAC filesor or use the front-panel auxiliary input for connecting any other MP3 player or any other sound source. Also included a carrying case for the face cover and a wireless remote to run the receiver.
The unit also has a useful Radio Data System (RDS) that allows you to view radio broadcast information such as artist, title and album.
While enjoying your favorite jams, you can add the ideal balance of mids, lows, and highs with the 3-band equalizer. Take advantage of the DM+ controls to work your fully compressed music files. Add some extra kick to the already built in amp with two sets of preamp outputs. Get additional power by hooking up an outboard amp or powered subwoofer. The Built-in 52 x 4 watt amplifier will power up your speakers with more than enough power, and the built-in preset equalizer curves will fine-tune your music to sound best whether it is classical, rock, or any other type of music.
The DSX-MS60 is finished with a protective coated circuit board and UV-resistant cover to secure the unit that it'll stand up to the outside elements like the sun, salt, and spray for many years of great memories on the water.
It gets even better; Sony offers a SIRIUS®- package for this unit, or you can make use of the front aux input to plug a portable satellite radio. you can also choose to add Sony's HD Radio tuner to integrate the ever expanding programming presented by participating stations.
The DSX-MS60 also works with Sony's marine wired remote control commander (not included) so you can mount the receiver in a remote location where it's protected from the elements, then control it from the cockpit. This unit will make spending time on your boat so much more pleasant
