Fully tinned wiring ensures that these amp kits won’t corrode or oxidize and turn green after a season on the water. Oxygen-free copper provides a reliable connection with maximum conductivity. By using 100% virgin copper the tin won’t flake off, something commonly seen when using recycled copper materials. While it is also common to tin just the tips of the wire for cost savings, this practice does not actually provide any benefits.
